Last updated: September 25, 2026

Welcome to calebzahnd.com (the “Site”). The Site is owned and operated by Caleb Zahnd (“I,” “me,” or “my”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

The Site is a personal website. It showcases my projects, writing, and professional background, and it offers a way to get in touch with me.

Using the Site

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes: reading, browsing, and contacting me. When you use the Site, you agree not to:

  • Use it for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates these Terms
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its server, or any connected system
  • Interfere with the Site’s operation, including by introducing malware or overloading it with requests
  • Scrape, harvest, or copy content in bulk, including to train AI or machine-learning models, without my written permission
  • Send spam, harassment, or abusive messages through the contact form
  • Pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent your connection to any person or organization

I may restrict or block access to the Site for anyone who violates these Terms.

Intellectual Property

Unless noted otherwise, I own the content on the Site: writing, design, photography, graphics, code, and the site’s overall look. It is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may view the content and share links to it. You may quote short excerpts of my writing if you credit me and link back to the original page. Any other use needs my written permission. That includes republishing, selling, or creating derivative works.

Some project work shown on the Site was created for clients or employers, and they may own it. Their names, logos, and trademarks belong to them. I show this work as a portfolio of my contributions. Its appearance here doesn’t mean they endorse the Site or grant you any rights to it.

Messages You Send Me

When you contact me through the Site, you agree to give accurate contact details. Please don’t send confidential information unless we’ve agreed on it first.

I use what you send only to read and reply to your message. Sending a message doesn’t create a working relationship, a contract, or any duty of confidentiality. I may not answer every message.

My Privacy Policy explains what information I collect and how I use it.

The Site includes links to other websites. It also embeds content from third-party services such as Instagram, Spotify, and video platforms. I don’t control those services and I’m not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.

When you use embedded content or follow a link, that service’s own terms and privacy policy apply. A link or embed doesn’t mean I endorse the service or what it shows.

Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the extent the law allows, I disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

My writing reflects my personal views and experience. It is for general information only, not professional, legal, financial, or technical advice. I try to keep the Site accurate and available, but I don’t guarantee that it is complete, current, error-free, or free of viruses.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site. This includes lost data, profits, or goodwill. If I am found liable for anything related to the Site, my total liability is limited to $100.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain of these limits, so some may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees. This covers claims arising from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Andrew County, MO.

Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. When I do, I’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If I don’t enforce a provision, I haven’t waived my right to enforce it later.
